Today I was guest speaker at the Havering Women in Business networking event. I thoroughly enjoyed myself speaking to a full room of female entrepreneurs on strategies to improve their diet, lifestyle and wellbeing which would in turn reflect in their businesses. It’s always fulfilling to empower others and there were lots of ‘aha’ moments. The networking was great too and I had the opportunity of putting faces to the names of some of my newest twitter followers. I worked with Angela on the Department of Health’s Change4Life programme to tackle childhood obesity. She is an expert in the area of diet and lifestyle, very knowledgeable about West African communities and is able to inspire people to make realistic changes to their diet and lifestyle. She brought valuable insight, bags of enthusiasm and passion to the project. She was a pleasure to work with.
