Success is simply being the best ‘you’ you can be, and in the process, you fulfil your life’s purpose. As you journey on in life it’s vital to evaluate along the way. Here are three points to consider:
- If your past achievements still look big to you, then you’ve not done much today.
Celebrate your past accomplishments but don’t be so dazzled by them that you forget to focus and work towards future accomplishments.
- Be a doer, not a talker.
It’s so much easier to talk about a dream than to take the steps required to make it a reality. From my experience, the best way to dream is with your eyes wide open, your feet firmly on the ground and all of you in motion. Time and chance happen to all, and chance as they say, favours those in motion.
- Expect and prepare for obstacles.
Never allow obstacles and opposition on the road to success cause you to give up. While researching and writing both my books over a 4-year period, it was so much easier to give up than to keep plodding on, especially when no one else had ever written on the subject and publishers weren’t interested. In the end, what proved to be obstacles were really opportunities for growth and self-development and in retrospect I would not trade that for the world.
So how are you doing on your journey? Drop me a line or leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you!
