Exfoliation should be a key part of any skincare regime whether for face or body. I was sent this body polish to review and going by the ingredients list*, this revitalising body polish is packed with nourishing oils and mineral-rich sea salts that claim to “effectively buff away dead skin cells, smooth and soften, and promote fresh, glowing skin all over”.
The small tub comes with a wooden spoon which I liked from a hygiene perspective. It does not contain microbeads and application was easy. I followed the instructions to:
- Gently massage onto dry skin before your shower or bath, focusing on any rough or dry areas.
- Rinse away the exfoliating sea salts with warm water and massage the remaining oils into your skin for sensational smoothness.
I however didn’t really like it – I found the salt grains too big for my taste and the scrub was quite greasy. It did however have a fresh, pleasant scent and was moisturising. I cannot say that my skin was any smoother after using it.
Despite its lovely fragrance and ingredients, I was not particularly impressed by this body polish. I think that its packaging could be better because some of the oil leaked while in transit to me and there was some more leakage even though I stored it upright. This made the jar a bit messy which I did not like. For these reasons, I would not recommend or purchase it.
