Edition #59 (Year 2): What If You Already Know?
From the Made for More Memo Archive
This edition was originally shared with subscribers on 11 September 2026 as part of a weekly journey to help ambitious women elevate their life, leadership, business and beyond.
There is a particular kind of overthinking that often looks like wisdom.
You gather more information, consider every angle, revisit the decision and tell yourself you are “just making sure.”
Sometimes, underneath all that thinking is a quieter question:
“Can I trust myself to make the right call?”
If you are accomplished, capable and used to getting things right, this can be surprisingly difficult, because you have learned to rely on preparation, evidence and competence.
But the next level of your life, leadership or business may ask for something different: self-trust.
THE MINDSET RESET | When Thinking Becomes A Way Of Postponing Trust.
Not every decision needs more analysis. Sometimes you already have enough information. What you are really waiting for is the feeling of certainty, and certainty rarely arrives before action.
Ask yourself:
Am I genuinely unclear, or am I uncomfortable trusting what I already know?
That question alone can change the conversation in your head.
THE CONFIDENCE CATALYST | Your Confidence Grows When You Act On What You Know.
Confidence isn't always something you find before you move.
Often, it is built by moving.
Every time you make a decision, take the step and discover that you can handle the outcome, you give yourself another reason to trust yourself.
You don't need to feel completely confident. You need enough confidence to take the next honest step.
THE STRATEGY SHIFT | Replace Endless Preparation With One Clear Next Move.
When you notice yourself circling a decision, stop asking:
“What else do I need to know?”
Try asking:
“What do I already know, and what is the next move that follows from that?”
Then make that move.
It might be a conversation you have been avoiding, an offer you need to put forward, a boundary you need to establish, an application you need to submit or simply a decision you need to make.
Clarity often becomes clearer through movement, not more mental rehearsal.
Bonus Insight
The Trust Test
The next time you find yourself going around in circles, write down three things:
What do I know? Separate what you know from what you fear.
What am I making this decision mean about me? Sometimes the decision feels enormous because we have attached our identity, worth or future success to getting it “right.”
What would I do if I trusted myself to handle the outcome?
That final question is often where the real answer lives. Perhaps that is the reminder worth carrying into your weekend:
You don't have to know everything to move forward. You have to trust yourself with what comes next.
If this is where you are right now, you may be ready for a different kind of support, one that helps you expand with greater clarity, confidence and ease.
