Edition #56 (Year 2): You've Already Built More Evidence Than You Think
From the Made for More Memo Archive
This edition was originally shared with subscribers on 21 August 2026 as part of a weekly journey to help ambitious women elevate their life, leadership, business and beyond.
This week, I’ve been thinking about how easily accomplished women can become strangers to their own evidence.
You can have the experience.
The results.
The track record.
The wisdom that only comes from having lived, led and learned through real life.
And still find yourself thinking:
Maybe I need one more qualification.
Maybe I’m not quite ready yet.
Maybe I should wait.
Maybe I’m asking for too much.
Sometimes, the next level doesn't require more proof of your capability. It requires a different relationship with the proof you already have.
Here are three thoughts to take with you into the weekend.
THE MINDSET RESET | Revisit The Evidence
When you're focused on how far you still want to go, it's easy to overlook how far you've already come. You remember what you haven't done yet, but minimise the promotion, the difficult decision, the business you've built, the problem you solved or the person whose life is better because you were involved.
Then you conclude that you need more before you're ready for more. But what if you're not underqualified? What if you've simply become too familiar with your own capability to see it clearly?
Before you prepare for the next level, pause and revisit the evidence that you've already been growing into it.
THE CONFIDENCE CATALYST | Trust Yourself Beyond What You Know
One of the quiet contradictions of success is this:
You can make difficult decisions for everyone else and still overthink the decisions that would change your life.
When it's your visibility, your ambition or your next move on the line, suddenly you want reassurance, certainty and to know you'll get it right.
Confidence isn't built when uncertainty disappears. It's built when you stop requiring certainty before you trust yourself. Your next level will inevitably ask you to do things you haven't done before.
You don't need to have every answer in advance. You need to trust that the woman you've already become can meet what comes next.
THE STRATEGY SHIFT | See Your Value In Context
When it comes to pricing our expertise, many of us instinctively look at the effort involved.
How long will this take?
How much work is required?
What feels reasonable? But there's another question worth asking:
What would they lose if you weren't involved?
Your value isn't only in the work you do.
It's also in the costly mistake you help someone avoid.
The time you save.
The problem you help solve.
The unnecessary detour you prevent.
The opportunity your expertise makes possible.
When you understand your contribution in that context, you stop measuring your value solely by how much effort something takes you. That matters because working harder shouldn't be the only way you know how to create more.
A Bonus Thought For You
Perhaps one reason growth can feel so exhausting is that we approach every new level as though we have to earn our place there from scratch.
Prove we're ready, capable and worthy of the opportunity, the income, the influence or the room.
What if some of what you're working so hard to prove has already been proven?
What if the invitation now is to receive the evidence, trust what it says about you and allow yourself to operate accordingly?
That's a very different way to grow, and often, a far more sustainable one.
A Little Coaching For Your Weekend
Take a few quiet minutes and answer these three questions:
What evidence have I been overlooking about my readiness for more?
Where am I waiting for certainty when I could choose to trust myself?
What would change if I fully recognised the value I already bring?
Don't rush past your answers. Sometimes the clarity we think we're searching for isn't somewhere ahead of us. It's sitting in evidence we've already collected.

As you head into the weekend, don't just nod along with what you've read.
Choose one insight and apply it.
Let it change the way you see yourself, a decision you're making or the value you bring.
Insight is wonderful but it's what you do with it that creates the evidence for everything that comes next.
Here's to recognising more of what is already true about you.
