Edition #54 (Year 2): Are You Using the Wrong Scorecard?
From the Made for More Memo Archive
This edition was originally shared with subscribers on 7 August 2026 as part of a weekly journey to help ambitious women elevate their life, leadership, business and beyond.
How do you measure whether you're doing well?
It's a simple question but the answer shapes far more than most of us realise.
This week, I've been reflecting on the invisible scorecards many accomplished women use to measure themselves - and why those scorecards often leave them feeling like they're falling short, even when they're making an extraordinary impact.
THE MINDSET RESET | When "Not Yet" Becomes the Standard
It's easy to focus on what's still missing.
The next promotion.
The bigger opportunity.
The milestone you haven't reached.
Before long, what you haven't done becomes louder than everything you already have.
Growth isn't just about setting bigger goals. It's also about recognising when your expectations have quietly become impossible to satisfy.
THE CONFIDENCE CATALYST | Feelings Aren't the Final Verdict
Many women assume confidence should come before bold decisions.
However, confidence isn't always the best measure of readiness.
Self-doubt often shows up precisely because you're stretching beyond what's familiar.
The women who continue expanding don't wait until uncertainty disappears. They stop treating it as the most trustworthy voice in the room.
THE STRATEGY SHIFT | Stop Measuring Value by Effort
Working harder isn't always creating greater value. As your leadership grows, people benefit less from the hours you invest and more from the judgement you bring.
Your experience helps you see patterns.
Your wisdom helps others make better decisions.
Your perspective creates clarity.
That's where your greatest value lives.
Bonus Insight
The Scorecard You'll Never Win
I've noticed that many accomplished women unknowingly evaluate themselves using three questions:
"What haven't I achieved yet?"
"Do I feel confident enough?"
"Have I worked hard enough?"
The problem is that none of those questions measures your actual contribution.
Instead, try asking yourself:
Where did I create clarity today?
Who made a better decision because of my input?
How did I demonstrate wisdom, discernment or courage?
Those questions don't inflate your confidence. They help you measure the things that truly matter.
If you're ready to lead with greater confidence, strengthen your influence and build sustainable success from the inside out, I'd love to support you.

Audit Your Scorecard
Before next week begins, take a few quiet moments to reflect:
What have I been using to measure my value recently?
Which measure has been leaving me feeling "not enough"?
What would change if I measured myself by the value I create instead of the goals I haven't yet reached?
Sometimes the greatest transformation doesn't come from raising your standards. It comes from changing the scorecard you've been using to evaluate yourself.
