Since my teens, people naturally gravitated toward me for insight, perspective and encouragement. But it wasn’t until June 2007 that I realised this gift was meant to become something bigger.
While still working my 9–5, I was invited to consult on a one-day advisory panel for a global healthcare company. That experience awakened something in me.
As I walked to the train station afterwards, I had a defining thought:
If I could create this much impact in one day… what might be possible if I stopped waiting and started building something of my own?
By the following month, my first business was born.
Over the years, I went on to work with respected organisations including Weight Watchers, Vitality, Abbott Nutrition, Sainsbury’s, the British Heart Foundation and the UK Department of Health. I authored books, built a successful consultancy and established myself within my industry.
But beneath all of it, something deeper was unfolding.
Women began coming to me for more than professional expertise. They wanted clarity in moments of transition. Confidence in moments of growth. Perspective in moments of pressure.
And I realised the real work had never just been about business or achievement.
It was about helping women expand into who they were truly capable of becoming - from the inside out.
That journey ultimately led me here.

I’d always dreamt of running my own business. And as I walked to the train station at the end of that day, I had an epiphany:
If I could deliver that much value in one day… what could I do on my own terms, if I stopped waiting and started building my dream?
That was 11 June 2007. By July, my nutrition consultancy was born.

Success is often measured by the milestones people can see.
However, this week, I want to remind you that some of the most important progress happens long before anyone else notices.
Whether you're leading a team, growing a business or navigating a new season, the woman you're becoming will always matter more than the title you're pursuing.
Here are three lessons worth carrying into next week.
THE MINDSET RESET | Healing Creates Harmony.
Many accomplished women assume the tension they're experiencing is because something around them needs to change.
Sometimes, the real work is within.
The beliefs you hold about yourself influence how you lead, make decisions and respond to challenges. When those beliefs are rooted in fear, striving or the need to prove yourself, success can still feel surprisingly heavy.
Healing isn't about dwelling on the past. It's about ensuring the past no longer dictates your future.
THE CONFIDENCE CATALYST | Confidence Grows Through Kept Promises.
Confidence isn't built by waiting until you feel ready. It's built by keeping the promises you make to yourself.
A year ago, I committed to writing The Made for More Memo every Friday. Looking back, the biggest milestone isn't that I've written for a year. It's who I've become because I honoured that commitment.
Every promise you keep quietly reinforces a new identity:

That's where lasting confidence begins.

Celebrating One Year of The Made for More Memo
Before we close this week's edition, I'd love to pause and celebrate a special milestone.
One year ago, I pressed 'send' on the very first edition of The Made for More Memo, believing that consistently sharing thoughtful insights could encourage women to think differently about success, leadership and what it truly means to become more.
Fifty-two editions later, I'm incredibly grateful that so many of you have chosen to spend part of your Friday with me.
What began as one weekly email has grown into a community of ambitious women across the UK, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and North America - founders, business owners, leaders and professionals who share a desire to grow from the inside out. Looking back...
