Award-winning Registered Dietitian & Author.
Speaker. Lifestyle Coach
I help organisations create, deliver and improve their nutrition services, products and messages.
I also work with individuals to transform their lives.
As an entrepreneur, I wear many hats and enjoy a composite career which has enabled me integrate my authentic self into everything I do. I hold an honours degree in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from King’s College London and am a registered member of the British Dietetic Association and the Health & Care Professions Council. For over 14 years through my business, Illumina Lifestyle Consulting (a consultancy I established in 2007), I’ve helped various organisations create and deliver effective nutrition services, products and messages, supporting them from concept to completion and beyond. My clients are from a range of industries – the commercial slimming, food retail, healthcare catering and private medical insurance industries; national charities, government agencies and NHS organisations reflecting my wide-ranging experience and expertise.
I enjoy facilitating light bulb moments which lead to transformation and for over 20 years, I’ve inspired, challenged and empowered thousands of individuals to embrace and embed life-changing transformation in three key, interconnected and often-neglected areas – nutrition, lifestyle and wellbeing.
I’m a natural communicator, an avid reader and published author of three books, two of which have won me awards. I have also contributed to two key textbooks used by registered nutrition professionals and also to the Nutrition & Hydration Digest, one of five key documents forming national hospital food standards in England which resulted in another award.
I am a brand ambassador for Isosconnect, a digital platform that provides smart tools for better business for independent health and wellbeing professionals.
It’s been an amazing experience and journey meeting Angela Tella and learning from her wealth of experience around food and healthy lifestyle. Every time she’s spoken to women at our events there have been light bulb moments and it’s refreshing to see her passion for her profession come through. I’m finding her books useful for my food choices. Thank you for all you do Angela. Let’s do better and more this year!
Angela, I just want to say a huge thank you for all the hard work you put into this project; it has been a huge help to me. You had the hardest, most complex tasks to complete - all your help and assistance helped me out tremendously. It has been a pleasure working with you.
Angela compered our first EPR Global event in the UK in November 2019. She did a fantastic job, was very engaging and articulate and ensured participants got the most out of the day.
We have been confidently working with Angela for over 10 years. Her organisation has a unique ability to meet our teen girls where they really need support concerning their eating habits, attitude towards food and body confidence. Their workshops are bespoke, professional, fun and engaging and make good nutrition very much achievable for our beneficiaries. The content is superb and easy for our girls to understand. I would happily recommend Angela and her team for both adults and teens.
Praise for Angela – she doesn’t make people feel inadequate and she is supportive by her words. She is an excellent lecturer and people-person.
Angela is an excellent teacher and keeps the interest of her audience at all times. She gets the audience interacting which is helpful and fun, and keeps people wanting more.
I would like to thank you wholeheartedly for undertaking the role of School Governor. It has been a pleasure liaising with you in this role. Thank you once again for your time and support.
You [and the Committee] have been doing an incredible job over the last couple of years - definite noticeable change since you got on board...Wishing you the very best!

You really worked hard and we had a very effective Group in place thanks to all your efforts. Can I personally thank you all for all the exceptional support you have given me since joining the Freelance Dietitians Group when I retired from the NHS. Wishing you well... You are amazing.
Your input has been so very much appreciated and you will be more than greatly missed. Thank you for everything that you have done for the Freelance Dietitians Group. Your expertise and commitment will be hard to replace.
Angela is an experienced compere who brings enthusiasm, poise and elegance to any event. I have had her compere on many occasions, at both formal and informal events and she has never failed to deliver.
Thank you for impacting us with your wealth of wisdom on how to eat well and stay healthy [at the Woman on a Mission Conference]. We have taken on board and started to implement the advice you gave.
The Healthy, West African & Wise™book series has been invaluable in Southwark, filling a very big gap in knowledge on West African diet and lifestyle not only for health professionals, but also giving sound, realistic and culturally appropriate advice to people who would like to help themselves and their community. We have bought them for our Healthy Lifestyle project in local libraries.
Angela's seminars for our faith and health project have been great. We asked for tailored seminars to support our West African community with healthy living advice to support healthy weight. Attendees were delighted to have culturally relevant [nutrition and lifestyle] information from an expert...Angela's work has helped us start an ongoing dialogue with participating churches which has been very helpful.
